It LIVES !

But my MAF doesn't.
And the dryer vent, well that wasn't the best either once I put a clamp one it.

>From very early stages, once again no wire in the MAF and ripped hose, it makes about 20 PSI at 3K. It's not making much power right know, but I figure that is due to limp home mode and then some.

It's pretty neat to be able to shut off the car , get out and open the hood and be able to hear the turbo still slowing down from speed. So far I think it's gonna be a good upgrade, time will tell how things go. I made a bunch of compromises to get it on the road in short order, but so far it looks like it is gonna hold together. I need to find some go high temp hose !!!

The K26 housing is now so cut into that it was virtually impossible to tighten the top EM to turbo housing nut. I think next time round I would look at a custom EM and the garret housing.

My very next e-mail will be to Mihnea for some initial programming. I hope I will have a new MAF sometime soon, if there are any used MAF's kicking around after someone's full rs2 conversion let me know. I will go RS2 MAF if / when I find one.
Unless there is some better upgrade to an RS2, maybe from the VW W motors ?
In the mean time I do need to beg / borrow / steal a good stock one.

So far just some details and reports / thoughts on the upgrade.

Comments welcome (except about dryer vents) :-)
