Seeing as I just replaced one that failed, here is
what I had.
When car was cold it would stumble at idle for about a
minute and then smooth out. After that idle was fine.

While driving car, it would stumble at abouy 2500
-3000 rpm only at light throttle. Mash throttle and
problem went away.

Not to fear, a few listers with RS2 upgrades offered
up their old ones for $50-75. Don't go to dealer for
this part, you will most likely pass out.

Good Luck

to be picked up at factory)

I found that the engine seems to have a bit of
hesitation , and reduced
power.

I can tell you that a MAF with a broken wire does not
exhibited any
idle
problems, except at startup.
