[s-cars] Canda V1 use warning...help on fighting a ticket please! + gas mileage

Fellow S Nutz,

Went to Pittsburgh for the Steeler game Sunday. On the way back we
decided to take a longer drive through the PA and NY mountainside for a
color tour. To get back to lovely Kalamazoo, MI we drove through Canada
(wrong move)

Well while in Canada I was pulled over for having my V1 in the car.
Yes that's correct, the V1 isn't undetectable anymore! Evidently
Valentine knows this but I didn't find out until last night/ You can

officer confiscated the V1 and issued a ticket for having the V1.

My options as I know them so far are to:

1. Drive all the way from Kalamazoo, MI to London Canda to try and
fight this.

2. Don't show and let them enter in a guilty plea, it will be  $175
(canadian)fine and they'll incinerate my V1.

Does anyone have any experience here?
I will either get my V1 back or replace it, but next time I venture
into Canada I will have a power kill switch installed (to shut the V1
down as soon as I see a cop car) and will bring along an old dead radar
detector to hand over in case I do get pulled over (sacrificial unit).

Good news, with the RS2 performance upgrade I still managed 447 miles
on my tank before I filled up. I'd report the gallons used but its in
liters and I haven't had a chance to convert the data.
