[s-cars] Is it time to....

Tony,
I replaced my O2 sensor at 190,000 km (probably for the first time). I was
dealing with a number of issues so I'm not sure what affect it had. Poor
gas mileage is one indication it needs to be changed, but I didn't notice a
difference. You can buy or borrow the socket to remove it - they are often
in pretty tight. It's sometimes helpful to remove it with the engine warm
but be sure to wear gloves if you do. Spark plugs are recommended every
48000 - 60000 km, depending on the type of driving I suppose.

Subject: [s-cars] Is it time to....
...replace the O2 sensor amd spark plugs?
My car is just about to roll over 100000kms (62137miles). I suspect the O2
sensor is the original and probably a good idea to replace that. I
understand these are hard to remove. Is it a do it yourself job or to the
shop it goes?
Secondly, I replaced the spark plugs when I first purchased the car 2.5
years ago at 55000kms (34175miles). Is it time these were replaced too.? I
was thinking of replacing these in the Spring.
TIA.
Tony
