how's the pressure gauge accuracy?  mine has the (useless) pencil-type
gauge, so i always check with a different pressure gauge.

well, that is easy.  you can buy a short chuck at a hardware store, and
put it on the end of the whip hose (replacing the long chuck).  if the
whip hose is too short for you, buy a longer one.  you can also make one
with NPT/hose barbs and hose clamps.  but i guess that's a lot of work and
hardware to customize a $10 inflator that frequently goes on sale for $5.
