[s-cars] Turbo install question...

I'm buying a used K26/T04e hybrid turbo for my car, but I cant buy
everything I need for installation such as the RS2 manifold etc... all
at once.  Would it be detramental to my car to install the turbo on
its own still running Stage 1 software?  I ask because my stock K24
seems to finally be on its way out after all these hard miles and I
dont want to get stranded with a turbo failure.  I'd still install the
hybrid early even if there is no performance advantage for this
reason, and to give it an easy break-in.
