I *hate* those. I can't imagine being stuck 200 miles from home, 
in a snowstorm, or worse, on a lovely twisty country road :)

I run full size matching spares summer and winter.

On my A6, this takes some commitment...to get the summer tire 
in/out, it has to be deflated and I have to take a trim piece off 
the rear door sill. I don't expect to have this problem with my 
winter snow...
