Pick up a tire repair kit at your local FLAPS. It should
come with a rasp, insertion tool, and a couple of plugs
that look like rubbery rope.  Remove the nail, rasp the
hole, insert the plug, inflate the tire.  You can fix two
more holes for all of $5.

As for the battery and brake warning lights -- open the
hood and see if the accessory belt is there.  No belt,
no drive to the alternator, so no juice to the battery,
hence the light.  No belt, no drive to the PS pump, so
no PS.  I'm not sure about the brakes; no belt, no drive
to the brake booster, which triggers the warning light?
