Many grins on the PA turnpike
Worst road trip moments:
Pressure plate failure in Cheery Hill NJ
Navigating NJ roads (made it hard to find the gov's place)
Best travel cellphone pal:
Uncle Bob for directing me to the nearest repair facility
Best Pizzo moments:
PK pulling onto the sfest grounds with smoke pouring out of the cute
grillework hole atop the Evo engine bonnet
Seems the dipstick became dislodged whilst the Evo went airborne
(somehow;)
Pizzo taped into the Pizzopotty(tm) Virtual Reality Ride on Sunday
morning
Best word slur: Everyone left on Saturday night
Best urS paint job: Serge's Europa Blue avant
Worst urS paint job: Serge's Maaco Blue avant
Best ground effects pkg: JaMu's shiny black lltek front and sideskirts
How'd he get him to do that award: PK for persuading der father in law
to cook up 250 burgers in 90o weather
Most like his dad award: Tyler K observed tipping over more than once
in his audi play car.. standing up and grinning
Best sport/s: Bys for providing the sfest carnival site
All the wives/girlfriends who came to the worlds only
automotive show about 'nothing'
Raffle winners who passed on their prizes
Best use for a gallon of distilled H2O: Poured over my head for a late
night shower
Most useful car/s: All the Avants which also became sleepwagons
Alex Trebek award: Jeff Posto for metering out the waffle tix and
announcing der wieners
Stranger in a strange land award: Three lost Ferrari's, one MG, one
Volvo
Best trip home moment: Three car convoy mit uncle bob and keith
Sorriest sucka award: The fine audi gentlemen in the 1.8t who chased us
to filling station and enquired "are you going to the Watkins Glenn audi
driving school?" Only to hear Bob start to explain how he can chip his
car and install bigger brakes. And on and on and on
Buenos Aires patina award: To all the urS's cuz clean or not, it was
quite apparent that all had been driven:)
Having had the pleasure to attend all three of these festivals, it is
amazing to see how it has grown. And Igottatellya, the long drive to
and fro was a great and fun opportunity to drive the car at length. 15
hours with stops, a quick nap and no back ache at all.
For next year with a few EZ modifications, I think Bys place could
support a small road course... maybe with a jump over his soon to be dug
pond?
