Sorry All, I didn't realize that Chris had cc'd the list, and there
might be some interest there. Anyway, I had sent the below link as
an alternative to the Transpod. I think every Mac user should know
about this site as a great site for upgrade hardware and info,
especially now with the music pages for creating and processing. I
don't go beyond garageband and itunes for processing stuff for the
ipod. I'm a customer, my only connection.

Chris was prompted to ask:

What do you dislike about the current transpod?
Don't own an Ipod yet, but hope to get one in October.

To which I responded (off list again):

Sure, just quickly, the Transpod does not lock on freq well and
requires fine tuning too much for me. The unit is too clunky and
requires removing the ipod to carry. Then, you have the transpod to
put somewhere in the car. You can't leave the ipod exposed in a
parked car. It's almost a sure invite to a broken window, and the
sob's will probably vandalize the car too. The Transpod is too large
to fit in the glove box with the other stuff I keep there.
If you get a 1st or 2nd generation ipod, I have a Transpod for them
(firewire plugs in rather than dock plug) that would go cheap.
Look at the other solutions in the link that are much cheaper than
transpod and work better.

Tom , actually liking the BMW solution more and more...
