[s-cars] RE: clogged kitties

Too much boost out of that little turbo. I had the same experience
with the A4- running 15psi out of a little K03 made it glow cherry
red after a long run. A friend of mine and I found a great route that
gave us about 45 min. of continuous hard running, but caused the turbo
to glow red, had to idle it down for 5 minutes with the hood up even
after easy driving at the end. Without M1 0W40, I don't think the engine
could have taken that.

Precisely.  I'm running OE cats and boost north of 22 psi all day every
day. But why the ohsored manifold then.  My EGTs were fine, ~ 875c I
believe.
