If anyone would like a Gmail account, drop me a mail offlist.  I have
a few invites available.  Please make sure to include your full name
and email address.

It gives you 1gb of storage space, very fast search access, and a
unique way of storing messages in conversations.  I find it VERY
excellent for mailing list subscriptions for all three listed reasons.
