[s-cars] Subframe bushings?

I checked the Bentley and you suspicions are correct, both the front and rear subframe bushing are one piece according to the picture. Bentley shows the removal using an extractor (puller) that you tighten until the bushing pulls out of the subframe assembly.

The rear bushing looks harder, you need to remove the mounting bolt for subframe assembly, installer puller (e.g. Kukko No. 21/2) tighten nut until two jaws of puller spread in bushing, thread the puller onto threads of extractor until two jaws are supposrted on subframe assembly. Tighten nuts on puller spindle until bushing is pulled off.

Gabe, may I ask how you suspected the bushing may be bad? just curious what the symptoms are...

Cheers, /James.

P.S. Best of luck, not an easy task if you don't have the shop equipment, I salut you!

Subject: [s-cars] Subframe bushings?

Any BTDT on replacing subframe bushings? I can't find the page in ETKA
that shows them. On one side of the front I can pull the top off the
bushing the other side I can't. I suspect I should not be able to pull
the top off? Is it one piece or two? Thanks in advance!

Gabriel Caldwell
