Try just regular old isopropyl alcohol. This usually removes even sharpie
permanent markers. You could also try goof off but I don't know how that
works with markers.

Subject: [s-cars] removing black marker stains from leather

i was in a triathlon this weekend. every competitor has his/her race
number written on each arm, leg, and hand. after i got my numbers
and watched the opening festivities, i went back to my car to take a nap
before my event.  when i woke up, there were numbers on the seats.  >:{

the numbers had transferred themselves from my skin to the ecru
leather seats. how do i get them off? lexol leather cleaner doesn't
seem to do anything.

naturally, when i tried to wash the numbers off my skin after the race,
i couldn't get even a little bit off. it seems that the only thing that
removes them is my audi's leather interior.
