Mike,

Go to www.danielsternlighting.com to learn of how to
optically adjust your lamps, rather than using the
bubble. I found that according to the bubble, my lamps
are aimed WAY high, even though I have mine set for a
low cut-off (worried about fog in the valley). You should
have really excellent lighting with 9012's in your projectors.
Mine's quite good (I haven't cleaned, nor relayed either)and as
I said, I set my on the low side, partially to cut below fog
(until I get my fogs working with P-lights switch up), and
partially so that NO ONE has a reason to flash me. Set up by
Daniel Stern's directions and there'd be little need for
high beams....

My low beams are dangerously poor - even after
installing 9012s.

I know that the inside can be dirty and I need to
check that. The lens itself isn't too sandbasted.

I also need to check the voltage to see if there's a
drop.

But I noticed for the first time that there's a bubble
level in the assembly. What should this read? Mine
is set to -1. The cutoff is way too close and this
must be the reason why. How do you make the
adjustment?

Thanks
Mike
