The way I see it, there's nothing to defend. This is just a development
process that hopefully some folks can benefit from. Hell, at the cost of multiple
turbos and becoming a regular at the dyno, I sure hope someone benefits! :)

Well... we could speculate endlessly about the cost of engine condition. The
only way we could have resolved that, would be to strap your car on the dyno
after rebuild... no other components changed. I did, however, take the
liberty of overlaying your graph on top of some of our tests. The way it was, it
was certainly suffering on the bottom end. From a driveability perpective, here
are some key points:
At 3800rpm, where the RS2 equipped car is hitting 400ft/lbs, your engine (the
old one) was crossing 320ft/lbs. Comparing the hp curves, the RS2 is putting
out a steady 20-40hp more until about 5300rpm... where the 50 trim takes
over. From 5300rpm on, your car stays about 15-30hp on top of the RS2. Peak hp
numbers are only a fraction of the story, and I think 10 out of 10 drivers
would prefer the RS2, as the area under the curve is way better in the useable
range.

We will never know... unless you return your engine to the original
configuration.

Same as number 1. Our test car is likely indicative (equipped with the ITS
killer), but your car had some other mods... exhuast and RS2 cam, I believe.

Agreed.

I believe that is because the A/R and turbine wheel used in that turbo is too
large.

Depends completely on the hot side his car is equipped with. We'll
understand more when he pulls it from the car... but visually, it looks like an 8
housing.

> -5) How has my custom programming by Mihnea effected those numbers

Hmmm... all reasons why I'd be hitting the dyno between each change.

> -6) How has the Stromung Cat-By Pass effected those numbers

Well... the exhaust results were interesting...

I bet that's right.
Take care,
Dave
