Oh my goodness I have sat on this for a while. Anyway, read below on the
torsens that Bob is working on. Bob presents a few options as far as cost
and who will bear the increase. My Opinion? I have no idea where I rank in
order of response to Bob but, I would say that the incremental cost for
additional diffs should be spread across all interested parties.

My non-capitalist $0.02.

Mark

Mark:

I am at the airport now, leaving on an overseas trip until 9/20, and have
unsubbed from the list in the meantime.

Please pass this to the list:

I had 15 "I want one" replies for the four torsens available. I have
located another source to get 6 more, but after the first 10, the cost of
obtaining these in Germany will add about $75 Euros each to the price of the
next 5.

First I need to establish that all 15 replies are serious by takign a
deposit. Next, I leave it to the "buyers" to decide whether:
Should I hold some kind of "race" where the first 10 get the old pricing, or
average the 75 euro increase on the last 5 over the complete order. the
first 10 are already inbound, and should be available the end of the month.

I really can't spend any time on this until I return, since email access
will be scarce. Please post this info and organize what you can, and I
will sort the rest out upon my return.

Best regards,
Bob
