Ok, serious this time...  

Chris...  methinks it's your ebrake.  Mine does this too, sometimes on its
own sans rocking even (if the weight of the car suddenly decides to 'creep'
against the justgrabbingenough ebrake).  This with new pads, rotors, lines,
lubed guide pins, new cables, etc.  New calipers would remedy but ebrake
actually works enough to not bother yet.

So, seriously, test that theory...  bet you could buy a monkey with it.

It happens with the car not running, and the noise comes from
underneath the back of the car.
