Looks like it might work if it is a 134A compressor. I own one of
the compressors being sold by this guy on ebay but I haven't gotten
around to the installation yet. His crossover info is in the ad. HTH
and not just adds confusion. Hancock had quoted me something over $500
and the other online sites were over $600. The icoolu guy on ebay is
Rick Hudson. I was antsy about the compressor and emailed him a couple
of times, but all seems ok. I specified the URS4 dryer since most
suppliers try to send the A6 dryer for the S6 and the connections are
too wide-spread. He has an A/C business in Texas somewhere and bought
my compressor from <www.ranshu.com> for $251 shipped to me, so that is
a reasonable markup assuming he knows what he is doing. Although the
compressor is marked made in Japan - Omega part DCW-17D, it was ordered
and invoiced as a Zexel DCW-17B and stock number 14-2950NC for Audi 4A0
260 805AH. Those are the same numbers Hancock has on their web site,
which makes me more certain they are selling the same compressor from
the same wholesale supplier. Ranshu is apparently the importer and
sole source and does not sell retail. And, that's all I know until I
get around to installing mine.
You didn't ask, but I would be more antsy about a used compressor that
has ? miles and sat in the weather ? years.
