I forgot to say that in normal driving, I tend to get less than
20mpg... Just that one trip I got that high. Coming home, I could only
get about 23.

Doesn't seem that great to me. I got about 27 recently on my trip to 
South Dakota averaging 78 mph. 
 
 
 
I think 24 MPG at 65 MPH is possible if you feather it 95%. 
 
Maybe you are cruising @ 16:1 AFR = 26 MPG - but that would be a
little lean for my taste.
