As an addendum to the whole gas mileage issue; my trip computer reported
an average speed of 65mph.  I was mostly cruising at 81mph on the
highway but the average speed was affected by the times I had to slow
down to go through a city or needed to go to In N Out Burger, Krispy
Kreme, or Cold Stone Creamery.

 

On another note, it was raining all the way from Vancouver to Redding,
CA or so.  A couple of times the car hydroplaned briefly and the cruise
control turned off.  Is this a feature?  i.e. the car could not maintain
the set speed and turned the cruise control off?
