[s-cars] random brake light flash over bumps

Paul,
This has happened to me in both of my 92's. It is a result of the fluid
level being almost below the safe zone. Bumps and hard braking will cause
the light to flash.
Check your fluid level while the car is running. If the check valve weeps,
the reservoir will appear safe when the car is off because some of the
system fluid is forced back into the reservior. When the car is running,
the fluid is re-introduced into the system and the reservior will be low.
Fill it to about 2/3 full while the car is running and your problems will
probably go away. Don't fill it to the max level while it is running or it
might overflow when fluid is forced back into the reservior.
Good Luck!
Jack

Subject: [s-cars] random brake light flash over bumps
Gents-
What causes the 'brake' light in the dash to once in a while flash briefly
when I traverse speed bumps, certain potholes, etc.? Or sometimes when I
upshift really hard (getting that ohsofine SPEC engagement)?
Just wunderin'. TIA.
-Paul
