Gmail is an email service Google is planning on rolling out full-swing 
that is is a beta/testing phase right now. the service is being sent 
out as "invitations" to come and try it out. pretty much a sure thing 
but benefits are:
- 1Gb storage
- searchable like their own website service
- messages are tagged and threaded like successful mail browsers.
- free.
