Um, yes.

My wife will need a new car next year. The '96 A6 is going to our 
son. I'm *awfully* tempted to give her my '02 wagon and pick up an 
'02 S8 for myself...

The S8 would be *totally* lost on her.

The downside is that my wagon is just about where I want it - 
suspension, wheels, Nav Plus system, PhatBox, lights, phone, etc.

The upside is that most of that is already done on the S8 from the 
factory. All (ha!) I'd need to do is the Nav system.

Of course, there's a friend of mine with an '04 Touareg whispering 
devilish thoughts in my ear about a VW SUV...

I really do like my wagon. I have a feeling tho, that I'd *really* 
like an S8 <grin>

One alternative is an S6...but they don't seem to have been 
hammered in price the way the S8s have.

Guess I have to go out and test drive some of these cars...the S8, 
the S6 and for yucks, an A6 4.2 w/sport package.
