when I first got my car the gas mileage sucked, it was about 15-16 if lucky with very conservative 55 mph highway drives, after a while I got frusterated and started getting on it more and more near redline shifts, well after a day or two of that my mileage increased to 19, perhaps your car just needs to be opened up and cleaned out, take her out on the highway this weekend and let it rip through a take of gas and then start calculating mileage again, it could help and it's a fun way to fix a glitch.
