Yes, "while you are in there" you should assuredly install a 6 speed.
Short of that, well, certainly weight the shifter, and / or do an SSK.
Also do tranny mounts while they're out, helps iron out some drivetrain
lash.  Slave cylinder is cheap and easy while out too.  Repack
driveshaft CV too.

HTH, good luck.  I'll let others chime in on clutches, as my SPEC is
wonderful but I'd neeeeeeever recommend one from a customer service
perspective.  LWFW is funfunfun, albeit clackety.  Spool up is worth it.
