[s-cars] what is the optimum tire size for 17x8 wheel

While the RS2 is a unique case due to the limited room available in the
80/90 series bodies, I don't think anyone here is defending the use of
245/40 on 17x7 rims.  I believe Serge was referring to the tire fitment
on the optional 17x8 wheels Audi spec'd for the UrS4/S6.  Just look at
the label inside your fuel door for confirmation.  And as Hap mentioned
earlier, on the C5 based S6 the standard fitment was 255/40 tires on
17x8 rims.  Both combinations have been used by many on this list with
no issue other than the slight liner rubbing on the right front at full
lock in reverse.
