I could use your collective and broad based knowledge to help my brother
out. He has a ton of $$$ and is looking for a luxury sports sedan.
Problem
is that he is 6' 6" tall and head room is an issue in everything he
tries
on. Not an exhaustive list but h has tried on the 7 series BMWs,
Phaeton,
A8, S8, S500/600 and nothing give him the headroom he wants/needs. I
have
been whittling away at him to jut get the car he wants and then have
some
different seats installed and/or have new/lower brackets fabricated for
the
existing seats. Problem is he really is not a car guy and does not want
to
mess with that. He is looking more for a turn-key solution.

I know this is not nearly as exciting as Paul K's "wish list" post but
hopefully will bring out at least a few dreamer/realist types.

Thanks for your indulgence,

Mark-

FUNNY you'd request such input...

I'm literally *just* returning from lunch with my (3) Ferrari (1)
Porsche owning client. Or so I'd thought. I pull into his shop and low
and behold, he's replaced his 'winter car' X5... with a Cayenne. I
immediately burst into laughter. Milliseconds later, I note the quad
square rear tips bulging from the rear. I immediately burst into
uncontrollably LOUD laughter, with much MUWHAHahahahaha interspersed.

Man. $96k sticker / $83k sale... if only I had the cabbage. Be DAMNED
those pundits that say it's not a true P car or blah blah blah a 2.5 TON
waste of materials. Muther F'er that thing is insidiously
_F_U_N_F_U_N_F_U_N_!!!!!!! Point, shoot, squirt, that thing muther f'er
takes OFF. Almost too easily, all that was at the forefront of my
thoughts was JAIL JAIL JAIL. And Jail. I'd be in jail. It's simply so
easy to drive, so easy to drive fast, so fast, that, well, um, you *DO*.
And fast. Did I already mention fast??? 4k on the rev counter, and BAM
power. Tiptronic has never been so fun.

He insisted we forego lunch to rather spend the hour or so having me
whomp on the twin turbo V8 luxobarge. Um, OooooKaaaaay.

Holy crap, addictive loud pedal stabbing bliss, addictive tiptronic
downshifting throttle mashing BLISS. 5,000+ lbs be DAMNED... The
Cayenne Turbo has awesome steering input, phenomenal brakes, stupendous
gearbox, ludicrous power band (Sir... should you buckle up??? BUCKLE
THIS!!!).

Wow. To say I'm impressed is an obvious understatement. I'd read all
the reviews, hell, that thing must be experienced to believe. Cool f'n
truck.

He summed it up best. A friend of his inquired as to why own a near
$90k luxo SUV from hell... he aptly retorts... "Because I can". God
bless him. I would too had I the cabbage.

***SIGH***

So, Mark, there's my useless $0.83k 8-). Your lucky arse bro should
assuredly have one of these. So should you. And me.

HTH 8-).

-Paul must be nice having 3 F cars and 2 turbo P cars K.
