[s-cars] Avant Eibachs (rear)

Since installing the Eibach suspension on the Avant, I always thought the rear sat too high, leading the car to have too much of a rake.  The avant rear springs have an extra three windings at the top which are covered with a plastic material. When the spring is installed, the three windings are completely compressed and act as sort of a spacer.  My thought is to remove the spring and cut off one wind, thus lowering the car by the thickness of the coil material. What have other avant owners done?  Am I staring at the car too much? Should I just install three bags of cement?
