[s-cars] Seized drain plug

Any good shops near Vacaville, CA?

I typically do much of my own maintenance, but have been lazy as of
late. I guess this is my punishment.

Kevin,

There have been quite a few threads like this. They all start with
"gotta replace the pan" but the usual ending is that the plug is out and
must be replaced. I have never seen anyone post that the threads were
damaged.

Whatever you do, be careful not to damage the pan. The plug *will* come
out. Those who have had the best luck have used air chisels or hand
chisels to turn the plug.

Time to start doing your own oil changes to make sure everything gets
done correctly. If not, maybe someone can recommend a shop - where are
you?

Tom

Thanks Jerry.

Has anyone seen the oil pan threads come off with too much pressure?
