[s-cars] still no start !!! help !!!

Tom:

What condition is the field braid on the starter?
Its the copper braid that goes from the solenoid into the starter body.

If you have a multimeter, with ignition off, measure the resistance from 
the point where it attaches to the solenoid to the point where it enters 
the starter body.   If you get no reading, then the braid is shot and you 
need to replace the starter.

If you think that you have a ignition switch issue, pull the connector off 
the back of the existing switch, plug in the new one and twist it to the 
start position with a screwdriver...(That will save you the aggravation of 
having to pull the existing switch to trouble shoot)
