Did you have to use spacers or was it a direct bolt on? I'm trying to
figure out what used oem audi wheels will replace my pitiful 15inch
wheels.

I would say if you have bigger tires in the rear, you would understeer a
bit more, which is fine for a street car, but be very careful that the
rolling radius of the front and rears are the same, otherwise you may
screw up the ABS performance, and even the torsen if the front/rear axle
speeds are too different.

in response to 255's

i put a set of wheels and tires from a 2000 audi a6 4.2 with 255's.
i took off a set of 245's to put them on.....
i felt so much more confident with 255's and the car was impossible to
lose....
it was such an impressive increase that i have been trying to figure
out if i can go bigger.

honestly....
how bad is it to go bigger in the rear and a little less in front?
it a real question not a rhetorical question.
i figue because we ate 60/40 maybe i can get awa with it....

265 with 255
whaddaya think?
