[s-cars] Rattling heat shields & header wrap

I ripped my heat shields off and that was that.  Right or wrong I dunno but
that is what I did.

The heat shields on my stock downpipe are deteriorating, and the
rattling is starting to get on my nerves.  The only solution I have
heard discussed is header wrap.  However, I have read in a few places
that header wrap tends to make the metal brittle over time and leads to
rot.  What have you guys done?
