Here is another installment of my "signpost saga" along with requests
for BTDT advice.

As you will recall, the Avant took out a signpost just forward of the
passenger side front wheelwell.  This necessitated a replacement
fender (thanks Chris), replacement oil cooler (ditto), brand new
bumper skin, and many little bits and pieces.  It is now at the body
shop getting stripped and painted.

As part of the prep for that, I had to take the passenger door apart
(completely) to get the latch out (for clear coat).  Getting that all
back together so that it seals, is noise free, and completely
functional is my next challenge.

So, here is my question.  Can I mount the RV mirror to the component
carrier before the component carrier is re-assembled in the door?  I
took the mirror off first when taking things apart and it was tough.
It looks like it would be much easier to mount the mirror, then put
the carrier back in the door.

Are there any words of advice out there?
