[s-cars] Rust free not

Whoa, there fellas.  Now stop this  before it gets out of hand.  There 
was a small
part of the 95 or 95 1/2  production run that had inadequate 
rustproofing at the
sides of the hood, and I don't know of a case that Audi did not cover 
under the
rust through warranty.
Sorry, I don't recall all the details but I am sure that someone who 
had the problem
knows all the details and the VIN to point when in production this 
problem occurred.
Keith, I'm sure your suspicions are correct as to the cause but way off 
on the duration.
Now, if someone reported the problem on the serial number next in 
sequence to mine,
I might be out there looking if my hood didn't already have a couple of 
high quality
repaints. :-)

Tom '95 S6  I'm looking at some more paint work soon because I have a 
little of the
crazing lines in the pearl white paint on the boot lid and rear 
quarters that signifies
failure of the paint system. :-(
