I installed a B5 S4 6-speed over the weekend.  I also installed a
Centerforce Dual Friction clutch.  The clutch bolted right up with no
problems.  The 6-speed from a B5 S4 is more or less a bolt-up proposal.
Elijah mentioned having to cut the bellhousing to clear a sensor.  I
didn't have to do this.  The stock transmission mounts and shift linkage
bolt right up to the B5 S4 6-speed.  Only two holes remain for the
procon ten bracket so you will need to do some work if you want to use
it.  This won't be a problem for S6 people wanting to do this mod as I
don't think S6's use the procon ten system.  You will also need a couple
different length bolts but that will be obvious after you have the
transmission bolted in with the bolts that do work.  Sorry but I won't
have any driving impressions for at least a month.  Oh, and PS, if you
ever plan on doing this swap; buy a transmission jack if you can afford
it.  ;)
