[s-cars] Some info for those wanting to swap to a B5 S4 6-speed

So in a collision where there is not enough force to move the
transmission backwards (most accidents), your seatbelts will not latch?
I don't think so. You may want to re-engineer your understanding of the
system. Elijah who installed a B5 S4 6-speed without the bracket and
also crashed his car, had no problems with the seatbelts latching.

It's a mechanical seatbelt locking mechanism. If the engine and
tranny are pushed back in the car relative to the firewall, it locks
the seat belts assuming you've just hit a solid object with
significant force. Without this bracket, or with it insufficiently
attached, your seat belts may not latch in a collision.

Personally, I wouldn't re-engineer this attachment.
