[s-cars] Some info for those wanting to swap to a B5 S4 6-speed

I would say the differences most likely stem from the year of the
transmission. Mine was made in 1999, and even though the notch for the
CPS is not used on the B5 S4 it still remained in the bellhousing. I am
guessing in later transmissions they stopped notching the bellhousing
since it serves no purpose for the B5 S4.

latch?
I don't think so. You may want to re-engineer your
understanding of the
system. Elijah who installed a B5 S4 6-speed without the
bracket and
also crashed his car, had no problems with the seatbelts
latching.

This is true. The seatbelts still latch and worked great. My tranny was
pushed back about 4" in the accident. Also, the 6 speed I had was the
DSY from a euro B5 S4 and there are some differences if the B5 tranny
from the states just bolts up with no issues.
