I'll take stupid injector tricks for $500 Alex.

Ask me how I know.  No, don't.-
So you pull the injector, and notice the O-Ring is missing.  No
problem.  Must have fallen off.  Just put another one on or think "hey
the old one is still okay, it's still down in the hole."  Not.  Nope.
It's still in the hole and now as you try to reseat the injector again
it doesnt seem to fit.  Duh!  Because the old one has to be ON the
injector, not in the hole..  It HAS to be pulled out, put on to the
injector and then stick the injector back in there.
The O-Ring is easily pulled out with a long thin pointed hook.
Just another possibility.  I'll bet a dollar.
