Emre,
I think it depends on the tire you choose. If you're going with a
Michelin, I'd say go 255. If you're going with a Yokohama or
Bridgestone, 245. I don't know about GoodYears or Kumhos.
The reason I say this, is I just replaced some Yokohama ES100 in 235
on an 8" rim with Michelin PS2s in the same size. Where the Yokos had
a slightly wider tread contact than the wheel width, the Michelin is
narrower. Doesn't look near as good, but the new tires are far
superior in grip and comfort.
