Bob,
I forgot to mention that I had the control arm bushings replaced
at the same time the subframe bushings. The subframe bushings
were definitely toast, as they were craked and coming apart but
I am sure replacing the control arm bushings helped me out as
well.
In my case it happend more violently when I was on a fast RH
sweeper, between 80-90mph it literally felt like the steering
wheel was going to shake out of my hand. So the reall bad
subframe bushing was the RH one, I bet your PS subframe bushing
is toast.
Also, WV roads really do abuse all the rubber bits in these
suspensions I have noticed.
