Ask that person to buy you a second battery along with the unit. 
It comes in handy. The battery *should* last at least two full 
sets of tire changes, but when it's flat, it's flat.

I've also found that these batteries are pretty unreliable...I 
have a bad one (of my two) and I've got several bad batteries for 
my cordless screwdriver.

Milwaukee was great about replacing my last bad one...
