Based on what little I know about engine building, and it being a
shame not to do it now, at the very least, have the bore checked. You
could put the stock pistons back in with fresh rings, but if the walls
are ovalized, it's kind of like taking a shower and putting your dirty
socks back on. Make sure the bore's okay, and if it's not, go 0.020
over with either a Wiseco or JE piston.
But that's just the way I'd do it.
