It's so easy that it should embarrass other front strut designs.  Large channel locks work fine... just jack the car up enough to make space between the coils for your tools... but keep the wheel in contact with the ground.  It is literally about a 15 minute job for each side.
 
Personally, I like the Konis 2 - 2 1/2 turns in from full soft.

looks like i am going down the Koni route on my car, with regards to fitting the 
front shocks, is it really as simple as Bentley makes out, i might be able to 
borrow the 2069 tool for undoing them, if not i think it's channel lock pliers 
or pipe wrench through the springs???? to undo the locking nut.

Any gotchas i need to look out for?? i have done this work on th typ 85/89 cars 
if that is help.
