[s-cars] Oil Vapour Catch Cans - Any recommendations

James: I found the Jaz can on my first Google search but not that particular URL. Your link had some good points, e.g. oil vapour displacing air space (hmmm... that won't help a lean AFR though.... hmmmmm).

Anyway, I also found this one:

http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/tech/ghettocatch/ghettocatch.htm

Might be a way to go. I am starting to think about using the catch can to condense the vapours but actually venting the treated air to the turbo (rather than the atmosphere). I don't need my car to smell like ancient big block muscle car V8. (Not that there is anything wrong with that).

Subject: [s-cars] Oil Vapour Catch Cans - Any recommendations

When I removed my Samco Michelin Man and OEM Intercooler for my Tom
Mullane/Marc Swanson FMIC installation, I was shocked to see a lot of oil
accumulated in the lower ridges of the Samco. I used to think it was my old
OEM K24 turbo was the source of the oil in the OEM rubber MM hose, now I
realize that I must have some blow by.

Not wanting to coat the inside of the new FMIC, I need to install a catch can.
I have searched with Google and found some commercial and home-made
examples. Any of you running a catch can they want to recommend?

Dave F.
