On a related note, I noticed a recent significant drop in fuel economy
with our VW NB 2.0- went from 24-25mpg to 16-17mpg. I had the O2
sensor and MAF replaced and fuel economy immediately improved- just
did a long highway trip in the car and fuel economy was in the high
20s.
