[s-cars] solid vs dual mass flywheel?

My stock but resurfaced dual mass flywheel with centerforce clutch feels
sublime. Have you considered that it might be a dried out front
prop-shaft cv joint? It's not too uncommon. I think a dual mass
flywheel could fail in the way you describe but I have never heard of
one failing. Anyone?
FWIW and while some may disagree, I don't think a solid flywheel and
unsprung clutch disc suits the UrS's.

Subject: [s-cars] solid vs dual mass flywheel?
I will be replacing my clutch soon, most likely with something similar
to stock...but I am wondering about the dual mass flywheel. Even with
a new clutch installed, my clutch never felt very smooth. It's OK...
but there seems to be a bit of feedback that feels like a mild clicking
under my foot. It seems to follow the engine speed and appears when
the clutch is under load -- so it can especially be felt when starting
out in 1st gear.
Does anyone else notice this lack of smoothness with the clutch?
Could it be this dual mass flywheel that produces this feel? What
about a solid steel flywheel? does anyone make one (and the clutch
kit to match) that will fit the S-car?
