[s-cars] blow off valve orientation... was Re: Fluttering Sound from Turbo?

Speaking of backwards....

I installed a new polished forge 007 diverter valve from ECS tuning.   The 
instructions that come with it suggest installing it the other way...or 
"backwards."

-- "When installing this valve we would suggest that the side pipe is 
installed at the return to the turbocharger intake....This revised method of 
fitment will prolong the life of the diaphragm." --

It kinda makes a high pitched whoosh sound when it opens (as I let off the 
throttle).   At least I can hear it working....
I was wondering if anyone else has used this valve...and how it has been 
installed?
