[s-cars] AC Chirps

Sadly Bill it prolly is related to water not draining and excess humidity
being present but *me* thinks it is your blower. The blower on my old 5K
would run pretty quietly but would chirp like a canary on crack if I
cornered hard in either direction. Short term was to lube by liberally
squirting WD40 through the hole vacated when I yanked a 90 degree rubber
"elbow" tube. While facing the front of the car it was on the right hand
side of the blower housing. Me thinks it is the same configuration in the
urS. I did ultimately kill the canary but that required a new blower motor.

Oh and one of the benefits of WD40 hosing is that your cabin will have the
old car WD40 smell for a while.

Regards,

Mark

Subject: [s-cars] AC Chirps

Folks

After running the AC for a bit, oddly enough only when accelerating or
decelerating the blower has a loud chirping noise.

I "think" it's related to water not draining from the blower area.

I have never read of this issue in the hundred years+ I've been on this
list.

Is this the first instance?

Would anyone know how would I clear this condenser drain?

Or is it possible to lubricate the blower?

Any thoughts much appreciated.

TIA

Bill ~kill the bird~ M
