I bet people who put chips in their cars have more speeding tickets.
You can't blame the chip for it, and maybe your mechanic shouldn't
blame the SS kit for bad syncros.
I bet people who install SS kits like to shift hard and fast. They
probably shifted hard and fast before they installed the kit, and
their syncros would probably be shot anyway. But your mechanic sees
the SS kit and blames the kit.
I'm not saying your mechanic is wrong, either. I don't know enough to
weigh in with a technical opinion. I'm just saying it's not
necessarily cause-and-effect.
